Circo Circolo
Circo Circolo
is the international festival for Circus Theatre in the Netherlands and presents international developments in new circus. Circus Theatre is characterised by its integration of traditional circus acts such as juggling and acrobatics with modern dance, music, design and drama to yield total theatre. In new circus, there are no animals. Circo Circolo is also a spot where children’s circuses and young talent can present themselves.
It took place from the 22th until the 31th of October on the Velder Estate in the centre of the national landscape park "the Green Forest". During and after this international festival we supported management by designing, executing and analyzing a visitor survey by internet and e-mail. Based on the outcomes, together with management we determined the new marketing approach and "experience challenges" for the next edition.
Park Hilaria: testing the concept
During "Park Hilaria 2010" in Eindhoven, which can be seen as a temporary themepark, we continued our monitor on the visitor's experience. However, this year we expanded the research by testing the concept amongst the public and reflecting the outcomes on the mission and goals that have been the fundaments in developing the concept in the first place. Both the outcomes of the research and our methodology were perceived as very positive by the management of Park Hilaria.
Thermae 2OOO
During spring 2010, we executed an extensive research into the experience and reputation of the longest existing Wellness Center in the Netherlands: Thermae 2OOO
. We took in both customers as people within the target group that haven't visited Thermae 2OOO yet. We presented the results of the research in front of both management and shareholders during a meeting in Amsterdam, July 9th.

Festival Mundial
2010 took place in the weekend of June 18 to 20. For more than 2 decades, Festival Mundial is known because of it's mixture of music, culture, atmosphere and content. The Festival provides an exciting program that surprises and takes courage to organize. Based on a search into in-depth programs, art projects, musical talents, debates and new encounters, Festival Mundial shows the actual developments on Culture and Development. Just for 3 days, a cultural themepark is created on the Leijpark site, with 6 areas, several stages and a camping. During this weekend, it attracted 60.000 people.
Assigned by it´s management, we performed an extensive research amongst the visitors. In only 2 days we surveyed more than 1.200 people live on the festival area.

8 mio euro for industrial heritage sites
The province of Noord-Brabant invests 8 million euro for the restoration of 18 former factories and other monuments of industrial heritage. This decision is partly based on the results of the inventorization performed by Dynamic Concepts Consultancy on the assignment of "Monumentenadvies". In this research, we determined the potential on industrial and cultural heritage within al municipalities of Noord-Brabant.
Expansion of funfair in city of 's-Hertogenbosch
Alderman Pauli has announced the expansion of the "Bossche Kermis" with 2 big areas within the city center of 's-Hertogenbosch. The researches performed by Dynamic Concepts Consultancy about this leisure event have affirmed the desirability and feasibility of this policy. The decision was published in the regional newspaper "Brabants Dagblad".
Award for our customer!
On the 29th of October, the alderman from TV-city Laren Leo Janssen, together with Karel Loeff and Peter Kitzen who organize the funfair event in this city, will receive the prestigious European Golden Pony Award in Genua (Italy). Italian publisher Facto Edizioni grants this price, because the team behind "Foundation Kermis Laren" was able to create a revival of this event amongst the people in the region. Thanks to offering an attractive and renewing mixture in attractions, side events and a very active promotion campaign, this major event in Laren is totally alive again. Former winners were de Efteling and Madurodam.
We are especially proud, because Dynamic Concepts Consultancy executed their promotion campaign in 2009 . We designed posters in A0 and A3 size (see pictures below), stickers, flyers and -last but not least- a special 8 pages newspaper about this event, which we have spread out door-to-door amongst 112.000 households. The promotion products that we realized for the "Foundation Kermis Laren", now also decorate the article about this award in the well known magazine "Games & Parks Industry".
Foundation Kermis Laren: congratulations!

Euromast Rotterdam identity
For the Euromast in Rotterdam we are planning to do a major research of the image the residents of the Netherlands have about this visitors attraction, together with the knowledge about the facilities and visitors experience. So all in all: the identity and image of the Euromast as it is seen by the Dutch people. The Euromast is a member of the World Federation of Great Towers (WFGT), just like the John Hancock Observatory in Chicago (U.S.A.) for whom we did a research last year about the experience and amusement value.

In order of Citydynamiek Eindhoven, the organization behind Park Hilaria, we will research the experience of the audience.

International Tournament Research
Last January there was an international tournament called "Smashing Valentine" around Eindhoven. On the courts in Geldrop and Mierlo tennisplayers from Canada, Germany, China, Italy and many other countries were competing for their honour. The tournament came with several festivities in the city of Eindhoven. Dynamic Concepts investigated the experience of this sports event and the spin off effects it had for Eindhoven.
New campaign
As a follow up on our new corporate design as developed in 2008 together with graphical studio "Pand 331", we now proudly present our new advertisement. Pand 331 designed the advertisement , in which we want to position the Experience as a central element. The advertisement will first be used during the international tennis tournament "Smashing Valentine" in Eindhoven. We will also perform the research on this international sporting event, focusing on the experience, triggers and spin off effect.

presentation Moscow
On the agenda of the yearly conference of the World Federation of Great Towers (WFGT), was a presentation by DCC about Experience Research. This conference was to be held in Moscow, in the Ostankino Tower. Mark de Ruiter from DCC was invited as a speaker with reference to the experience research that we did in assignment of the John Hancock Observatory in Chicago (USA). Through some unforeseen circumstances it was not possible to be in Moscow in time. That's why eventually this presentation was held by Daniel Thomas, general manager of the John Hancock Observatory. So luckily, we could still share our story with the attendees.

media attention Tilburg research
During the 2008-edition of the biggest attractionsfair-event of the Benelux, DCC again did an extensive experience research as part of the monitoring trajectory in assignment of the municipal of Tilburg. There was quite some attention in the regional media about this (all in Dutch). The "Brabants Dagblad" (Brabant Journal) wrote an article about the background on the research (click here to read
). And in a local television interview alderman Möller refers to the value of the research (watch it here
). In the middle of the event, local TV station Brabant 10 TV recorded an interview with Mark de Ruiter about the history of funfairs ant the role of marketing (see the Youtube version
). On the 21st of July thefrontpage of the Brabants Dagblad paid attention on the results of former researches by DCC into this matter (click here

Odessa park advice
During the last week of May, there was a visit to Ukrain's seaside city Odessa to investigate some leisure possibilities. Amongst others, there is a "Lunapark" that is brought there by Dutch entrepreneurs. With it's local organisator we visited the location where a large family entertainment-/ waterpark is meant to come. He asked for Mark de Ruiter's advice on the marketing side of this future park and the concept. Next to this location, two other future entertainmentpark locations were visited and opportunites were discussed how to establish a successful set up.
Chicago order
The John Hancock Observatory is the best known visitor attraction in Chicago, located in the top of a 94-floor skyscraper, with a height of 305 meters. Although the observation attraction does 700.000 visitors each year already, management is intensively working on refurbishment, new theming, branding and marketing. So to say: there is bound to be a whole new and improved experience. DCC got the assignment by general manager Daniel Thomas to do an experience research amongst the current customers regarding the current experience and to test new ideas about the attraction, events and it's elements.
Entrepreneurial stage
March 28 & 29 where the days that the "Marketdays" of the Foundation Young Entrepreneurship (SJO) on which more than 64 "student companies" could present themselves. In the very packed mall in the city centre of Eindhoven the finals were about at 5 pm. But just before those finals, the organizing committee wanted to inspire the 200 students with the story about entrepreneurship of an "young entrepreneur who's on his way for while now". For that, two interviewers put Mark de Ruiter on the stage and asked him everything they wanted to know. The crowd listened with interest.
